Privacy Policy

What this service stores, why it stores it, and how you get rid of it. Dernière mise à jour: October 1, 2026

Who we are

CalendarGG is an unofficial community service that publishes game event schedules as calendar feeds. It is a private, non-commercial hobby project operated by an individual in Denmark, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. For anything in this policy, including data requests, contact support@calendargg.com. CalendarGG is not affiliated with or endorsed by the game publishers.

What we store

Account: your email address and a hashed password, plus your chosen language.

Service data: your server region preference, saved calendars and their filter selections, and subscription status.

Billing: payments are processed by Stripe. We store the customer and subscription identifiers Stripe gives us; we do not store payment information such as card or bank details.

Technical data: short-lived server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) used for security, rate limiting, and abuse monitoring.

Calendar feed requests: each time a calendar app fetches a feed we record the time, which feed it was, the type of calendar app, and a shortened IP address (the network, not your exact address). We use this to operate the service and to detect abuse such as shared private links. Individual records are deleted after 245 days; daily totals without any IP address are kept.

Display timezone and 12h/24h preference are saved to your account so they apply across devices. View mode, region, and draft calendar selections stay in your browser's local storage.

Why we may use it

To provide the service you signed up for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): your account, saved calendars, preferences, billing status, and verification and password-reset emails.

Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): keeping the service secure and preventing abuse through rate limiting and short-lived server logs, and understanding aggregate usage through cookieless Plausible Analytics.

Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)): keeping payment records as bookkeeping and tax rules require.

Cookies and local storage

We use only cookies that the site needs to work: your login session, form security (CSRF), and your language choice. Display preferences, region, and draft calendar selections stay in your browser's local storage. We use Plausible Analytics to count page visits and a few interactions, such as opening the schedule or starting Plus. Plausible sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not track you across sites, and reports only aggregate totals; it is hosted in the EU. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in understanding how the service is used.

Who else processes it

Stripe (payments and billing portal), our email provider (verification and password-reset emails), and our hosting provider. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Account and service data are kept while your account exists. Server logs are short-lived. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your choices

You can delete individual calendars in My Calendars, and delete your account and all associated data from the Account page, where you can also download a copy of your data. You can also email support@calendargg.com to request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data, or to object to processing. If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) or your local authority.
