Too many events? Tips for a calmer calendar
With several calendars visible at once, your calendar app can get crowded. Every app lets you hide a calendar without unsubscribing: its events disappear from view and come back as soon as you show it again.
Google Calendar: on a computer, untick the calendar under Other calendars in the left sidebar. In the phone app, open the menu (☰) and untick it.
Apple Calendar: on iPhone or iPad, tap Calendars at the bottom and untick it. On a Mac, untick it in the sidebar (View > Show Calendar List).
Outlook: untick the calendar in the calendar list on the left, on the web and in the desktop app. In the phone app, open the calendar list and switch it off.
Only the alerts bother you? Turn off notifications for that one calendar in your app's calendar settings.
With Plus, split one big calendar into a few smaller ones, for example one per playstyle, so you can hide each one separately.
Another way to a calmer calendar: upgrade to Plus and filter to exactly the maps and conditions that matter to you, so nothing else reaches your calendar. A free feed for a single map or condition also trims it down.

Turn off alerts for a calendar
Feeds don't include reminders, but some calendar apps add alerts to every event on their own. If you don't need them, turn them off for this one calendar; your other calendars keep their alerts.
Google Calendar: on a computer, open Settings, choose the calendar under Settings for other calendars, and remove its event notifications.
Apple Calendar: on iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then Calendar, Accounts, Subscribed Calendars, choose the calendar, and turn on Remove Alerts. On a Mac, Control-click the calendar in the sidebar, choose Get Info, and tick Ignore Alerts.
Outlook and other apps: look for notification or reminder settings for that calendar.
